I am back from my wonderful trip cross-country, and have been working on some new stuff! I had been touring with a band for the past 3 weeks, which being surrounded by tons of music, and amazing tour posters at each venue, I was very inspired to create some new tour posters of my own. In the past, I have not ventured to heavally into illustration, since I am not the greatest at drawing, but after coming across a few artists that welcome simple illustration design, really inspired me to try out my illustration skills. So I broke out my waacom tablet, and began messing around. My boyfriend manages a band, mewithoutYou, the two brothers of the band, Mike and Arron, and Mikes wife, Sara are touring together as the 'Wiess Family & Friends' in august. Mike and Sara have a dog named Penny, which tours with them as well. I thought, what better to have their dog as the tour mascot, and make a poster design, out of the simple illustrations that I have grown to love. Below is a final version of this poster. I think that this is one of the strongest designs that I have done in a while. Please leave your thoughts and comments if you'd like!
